The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might appear out of place, but the developments of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, striking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as key figures in the influential clan could help the team enter places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to head to the northern region in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Questers and Planners tables.

Fans can anticipate learning which players will be where in the season’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on next week.
