I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
